WE PROTECT, EDUCATE AND STAND UP FOR THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN IN WAR
WHO WE ARE
War Child is an international relief and development agency dedicated to providing immediate, effective and sustainable aid to children affected by war. War Child was formed in 1993 in response to conflict in the former Yugoslavia, and has since expanded its work to conflicts worldwide.
War Child Australia is an all-volunteer organisation that was established in July 2002. Since that time, War Child Australia has been committed to providing aid to young victims of war all around the world.
HOW YOUR DONATION CAN HELP
War Child Australia is run entirely by volunteers and works primarily with War Child UK to achieve two major objectives:
To raise awareness of War Child’s work around the world – War Child’s vision is of a world in which children’s lives are no longer torn apart by war. War Child is currently running programmes in Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Iraq, Yemen and with Syrian refugee children in Jordan.
To raise funds for various War Child’s programmes – since 2002 War Child Australia has funded programmes or provided assistance in Afghanistan, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, Kosovo, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
